3. A REQUEST TO THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS
It is not too late to correct this
injustice to those fine people who spent their entire lives in the Howell and
Hamburg Communities but were driven from their farms and homes by their
Government. I believe this historical heritage should be preserved and I call
upon President Carter and the Congress of the United States to honor the
Government’s commitment to care for all cemeteries in the Weldon Springs Ordnance
area. We the living shall not forget, and our remembrances continue to turn the
past to pain.
