A View Up Lower Hamburg Road
The photographer was standing near the railroad tracks when he took this picture. In the foreground is G-9, one of several buildings owned by Hattie Mades. Next up the hill is the home owned by Frank and Emma Edwards; one window is visible and the front porch roof can be seen through trees. The long building with several windows toward the top of the hill was owned by John and Susie Beatty. At the top of the hill, on the photo's left, are two trees. The shorter one on the right still stands in the Roth (Heck) Cemetery. The tree on the left, which was near the front of the Beatty home, is also still standing in 2011.
