Robert Hollander was one of the area's first electricians, wiring many houses in St. Charles County.
An article in the St. Charles Cosmos-Monitor of August 9, 1941, stated the following: "Mrs. Henry Hollander is a widow who was victimized by the defense measure. She had to abandon her 60 acres farm that was also well improved, and now lives with her son in St. Charles."
